Fête de la Musique Partner District in 2026
We are thrilled that our partner district this year is Reinickendorf!
With the iconic Borsigturm, the legendary Storck factory sale, the shores of Lake Tegel, and a musical history that dates back to the origins of Berlin hip-hop, this green northern district of Berlin is full of surprises—and a fantastic partner for the Fête de la Musique!
Reinickendorf!
From the picturesque Tegel Palace to the villa-like Frohnau and the rural Lübars—this nature-rich district in the northwest of Berlin enchants both Berliners and visitors with its diverse neighborhoods, the expansive Tegel Forest, and a vibrant cultural scene.
And then there is the Märkisches Viertel: This large housing estate, home to over 30,000 residents, is nothing less than the birthplace of Berlin German rap—this is where Sido grew up and wrote his classic “Mein Block,” which shaped an entire generation.
Bike Routes to the Fête
We’ve created three cycling routes through Reinickendorf for you, each passing by Fête stages: around Lake Tegel, through Hermsdorf and Frohnau, and from Pankow to Hermsdorf. You can find the routes on our map on the programme page.

About the Idea of a Partner District
The Fête de la Musique Berlin has been implementing the idea of a partner district since 2018. This idea was created to draw the attention of the audience and the media to districts that are not located in the city center or within the S-Bahn ring. The characteristics of the partner district are as diverse as the Fête de la Musique itself.
Usually, it is a collaboration between district and public forces, creatives, private initiatives, and event locations. After Lichtenberg, Treptow-Köpenick, Mitte, Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Neukölln, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Tempelhof-Schöneberg, and Pankow, Reinickendorf is the partner district of the Fête de la Musique this year.
