Maura ist eine in Berlin lebende Sängerin, MC und Songwriterin, die sich mühelos zwischen Jazz, Soul, Indie-Pop und Rap bewegt. Sozialisiert durch Hip-Hop und Produzenten wie J Dilla fand sie autodidaktisch ihren Weg zu Soul, Jazz und experimentellen Klangwelten. Aufgewachsen in einer polnischen Arbeiterfamilie ohne formale musikalische Ausbildung, bildet sie eine Ausnahme in einer Szene, die stark von frühzeitiger Instrumentalförderung und Musikstudium geprägt ist. Nach ihrem Debütalbum Grimus (Sichtexot) mit Malik Diao und Fred Red veröffentlichte Maura 2024 ihr zweites Album Mother of Chaos über Phlegmatic Records.
