On June 21, 2026, it will be that time again! The exhibition Europa Experience at the European House Berlin is celebrating the Fête de la Musique for the second time with a tailor- made music program and thus opens its doors for a special European music experience. 
With Iskandar Widjaja, we welcome an internationally renowned violinist who has been shaping the great concert stages of the world for years. As a musician with diverse cultural roots, he combines classical virtuosity with influences from pop, folk, and world music, thereby opening up new perspectives on the violin. His performances have already taken him to important orchestras and concert halls in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Look forward to an artist who connects musical worlds through his violin, creating meaningful bridges between cultures, traditions, and generations.

“One of the most exciting Violinists on the international Fiddle-circuit” (ARTE, September 2019) Labeled both as “Worldclass-Violinist”(Stuttgarter Zeitung) and “Rockstar”(The Jakarta Post), ISKANDAR connects worlds. The son of arabic-dutch and chinese-indonesian parents has performed as a soloist with internationally most renowned Orchestras. Simultaneously, he developed a showbiz career in east Asia. He entered the Berlin conservatoire at the age of eleven, now collaborates with the great names of music such as Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, Cameron Carpenter, David Foster, Anggun or Fazil Say. He is also often performing at mass-media events like Miss World , the Davis Cup, EXPO in Milan or the Fashion Week in Paris. He created the concept-concert “Bach&ZEN” in collaboration with a ZEN-Master and also works as a composer and songwriter, combining influences of filmmusic, baroque, pop and hiphop.
