F\u00eate de la Musique Partner District in 2026<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We are thrilled that our partner district this year is Reinickendorf!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the iconic Borsigturm, the legendary Storck factory sale, the shores of Lake Tegel, and a musical history that dates back to the origins of Berlin hip-hop, this green northern district of Berlin is full of surprises\u2014and a fantastic partner for the F\u00eate de la Musique!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Reinickendorf!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From the picturesque Tegel Palace to the villa-like Frohnau and the rural L\u00fcbars\u2014this nature-rich district in the northwest of Berlin enchants both Berliners and visitors with its diverse neighborhoods, the expansive Tegel Forest, and a vibrant cultural scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then there is the M\u00e4rkisches Viertel: This large housing estate, home to over 30,000 residents, is nothing less than the birthplace of Berlin German rap\u2014this is where Sido grew up and wrote his classic “Mein Block,” which shaped an entire generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music connects across languages and all differences. That’s why Reinickendorf applied for the first time this year to become the official partner district of the event. I am very pleased that we were successful right away and that Reinickendorf will be enriched by this musical facet on June 21st.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Idea of a Partner District<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The F\u00eate de la Musique Berlin has been implementing the idea of a partner district since 2018. This idea was created to draw the attention of the audience and the media to districts that are not located in the city center or within the S-Bahn ring. The characteristics of the partner district are as diverse as the F\u00eate de la Musique itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usually, it is a collaboration between district and public forces, creatives, private initiatives, and event locations. After Lichtenberg, Treptow-K\u00f6penick, Mitte, Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Neuk\u00f6lln, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Tempelhof-Sch\u00f6neberg, and Pankow, Reinickendorf is the partner district of the F\u00eate de la Musique this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
